Curriculum Vitae

Yao Man is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), with a primary research focus on Spiking Neural Networks and Neuromorphic Computing. As the first author, Yao Man has published several papers in top journals and conferences, including Nature Communications, IEEE TPAMI, NeurIPS, ICLR, ECCV (Oral), ICML (Spotlight), and ICCV. Yao Man has applied for nearly ten national invention patents related to attention-based spiking neural networks and large-scale spiking Transformer architectures. Yao Man has also led a project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Youth Program and was selected for the National Postdoctoral Researcher Funding Program and the Postdoctoral General Grant. A paper authored by Yao Man, published in TPAMI, is the first paper on spiking neural networks from mainland China to be published in TPAMI. This work was honored with the "Best Academic Paper" award at the 2023 China Computational Conference.
