From Neural Information Decoding to Brain-Machine Integrated Intelligence

Du Changde is an Associate Investigator at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses primarily on NeuroAI, covering neural information decoding, multimodal neural computation, and brain-machine integrated intelligence. He has published over 40 high-level papers in these areas, including in Nature Machine Intelligence (accepted), IEEE TPAMI, ICLR, AAAI, among others. He has led or participated in multiple national and Chinese Academy of Sciences research projects, and has received honors such as the 2019 IEEE ICME Best Paper Runner-up Award, being listed in the 2021 AI Chinese New Stars Top 100, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences President’s Award.


Brain-Inspired Fundamental Model Research

Yao Man (BIC Lab), Assistant Investigator

Yao Man is an Assistant Investigator at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on brain-inspired neural morphological computation and spiking neural networks. He has made a series of significant advancements in large-scale brain-inspired neural network training, architectural design, and coding schemes, publishing over 10 papers in leading international journals and conferences, including Nature Communications, IEEE TPAMI (2023/2025), ECCV (Best Paper Candidate), NeurIPS (Oral), ICML (Spotlight), and AAAI (Oral). He has led projects such as the Youth Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Class B Pilot Special, the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, and doctoral fund projects. His honors include the “Best Paper” award at the 2023 China Computing Conference and the First Prize in Natural Science from the Chinese Association of Automation in 2024.
