Guest Speaker: Prof. Miguel A. Nicolelis

Prof. Nicolelis is an internationally renowned neuroscientist, Distinguished Professor of Neuroscience at Duke University, and co-director of the Duke Center for Neuroengineering. He is recognized as one of the world’s leading figures in brain-machine interface research.
Prof. Nicolelis has been committed to exploring the mysteries of the brain for decades, pioneering many groundbreaking studies in brain-machine interfaces and neural prosthetics. His research has been featured on the covers of top journals such as Nature, Science, and Scientific American.
In 2004, his team published a Nature paper reporting a significant breakthrough in brain-machine interface technology, attracting worldwide attention. In 2014, he led the “Walk Again Project” at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where a paralyzed patient kicked the opening ball using a brain-controlled exoskeleton.

He is the author of The Brain-Machine Revolution and Beyond Boundaries.
